Fall Bootie Finds

fall-bootie-season-jenn-inspiredFall is in the air friends! Can you feel it? Errr…probably not, especially if you’re in the DC area. I mean, it’s been 90 the past few days with sky high humidity! Indian summer perhaps? Maybe you’re as confused as I am when posts like mine are hitting the web, proclaiming fall to be here in all her fiery, autumn leaves glory. PSL is the most popular acronym right now, and yeah both Halloween AND Christmas candy is on the store shelves. I guess we’ve been duped?! I will say the leaves are already starting to fall. After the yearly trek out and back to South Dakota by truck, I can attest they are also already turning colors. So an early fall I think it will be, hence you better be getting your boot on! My picks below will have your heart singing and ready for those cool autumn breezes, trust me.

I wear my booties year round and with pretty much everything I own. My Sam Edelman Louie booties are going on 6 years right now, worn in to perfection and still looking fantastic. They make every list I’ve ever put together, and of course, they are featured here this morning too. Because I can fully attest to their awesomeness, and with fringe all the rage this season, you should really get yourself a pair. They go with everything – jeans, dresses, shorts, skirts. They come in almost every color now, are really comfortable, and like I said, well worth their price tag. I really like having the shorter heel on the boot too. They also have this magic ability to make my feet look smaller than they are, and at size 9, I’ll take it!

The Splendid Lakota Suede Booties are just down right gorgeous, am I right? That soft suede bootie has a 3 1/4 inch stacked heel, which I prefer when it comes to booties as it’s much easier to walk on a higher, stacked heel than trying to teeter on a stiletto. I’ve got my eye on this red pair too, currently on sale!

If you’re feeling extra trendy this fall, the Jeffrey Campbell Taggart features this season’s cut out details (both the diamond shapes and the cut-out side panels) with a rounded toe. They make a great transition bootie for fall with their shorter, stacked heel and easy slip-on style. I love the tan leather, but if you’re feeling extra saucy, they also come in white!

When it comes to booties, my two favorite designers are Sam Edelman and Jeffrey Campbell, if you hadn’t noticed. These Jeffrey Campbell Cromwell babies are also totes gorgeous with their etched metal details and their distressed leather. They are sold out practically everywhere right now, but luckily Revolve has them set to ship early November.

If you’re looking for a bootie at a lower price point, look no further than the Forever 21 Grommeted Booties. I still pop into F21 from time to time, scoring a killer boho maxi dress last week that I can’t wait to share. These booties also feature this season’s cut out trend with their rock and roll edge and pointed toe. They also come in this killer blue color that I could never pull off, but maybe you can!

I’ve always wanted a pair of red or burgundy booties. The only hesitation on that trigger? The number of times realistically that I’d wear them. But I love them, and I may finally just do it and wear them with everything and not care one bit! Besides the Lakota booties on sale, these BP Trolley Ankle booties are top of the list. I can see wearing them with black skinnies and my favorite oversized sweater come fall!

Boots that have a little extra detailing make my heart flutter, and these Wallis Festival Booties from Francesca’s do the trick. With a cute southwestern black and white pattern, almond toe and close to two inch stacked heel, I have a feeling you’d be wearing these lovers every. single. day.

So grab your #PSL, toss on that sweater in 90 degree heat and go get yourself some booties! That’s a direct order now, you hear!
