On Trend: The Trench

By now you should know I’m pretty trench obsessed. From this post where I couldn’t get enough of the long variety to catching these French ladies in the classic coat on the street, I love the trench coat and think everyone should have at least one in their wardrobe. This Spring, the trench is everywhere, and it’s in a variety of styles, prints and colors. You have your classic, belted trench. You have the printed trench coat. And you have my favorite right now, the waterfall in both classic colors and pretty pastels. The cornflower blue Asos beauty arrived this week, and it’s gorgeous. The way it drapes and flows with the option to belt or not. I have a feeling once the temps warm up a bit, you won’t be seeing me in anything else.

Zara, per usual, has great trench coat game for Spring. And featured below in my round-up, so does Forever 21. I’m loving the army green waterfall version too! If you add one item to your wardrobe for Spring, make it the trench. Not only will it go with everything you own, but it makes for something easy to toss on when you’ve got that someone special to pick up from the airport. Wink, wink! 😉

Love a good trench! That Topshop option is so classic – it looks much more expensive than it is!

I know, it really does. The details are really fantastic on it!

LOVE trenches! Our honeymoon was in Paris and I came back needing a trench coat. Ha! I ended up ordering a really classic tan coat from Mango. It’s been great.

Ha! I totally understand the feeling! I’ve been seriously obsessed with both trenches and dusters since coming back from our trip there last fall. The women just looked so effortless, throwing on a trench or duster coat over the most casual outfit. Maybe it was just the Paris magic!
