This morning on my way into work, the sunrise was too beautiful to capture in words. There are perks to always running about 30 minutes late sometimes, like being able to witness a gorgeous start to the day. The purples, the oranges, the cotton candy pinks…you can’t be in a foul, Tuesday morning mood after witnessing nature do her thang. With my latest color obsession being purple, I couldn’t help but notice how the purples in the sky today matched the purples in this scarf.#cheesy
Of all the blanket scarfs I own, this one from J.Crew is by far the warmest. And it’s not as gigantic as some of my other ones that by mid-day when wearing them, they’ve beyond agitated me with their giant scratchyness, and I must get them off my body. No one said fashion was comfortable, people. Warmth and comfort, though, were absolutely necessary this past weekend when I drug the husband to Annapolis for another project I’m working on. This was just a few hours before that giant B, Winter Storm Pandora, set her rage on the DC area (could you not bring your wrath of snow and ice during the week?!), so it was freezing walking around the town. A town which is completely charming and adorable by the way if you haven’t been. There was really no one out and about, so we pretty much had the town and the Naval Academy grounds to ourselves. And even with the cold, it was a pretty perfect day. Wearing a pretty perfect scarf. Seeing a pretty perfect sunrise. Yep, I think it’s gonna be a pretty perfect Tuesday.
