Stuff Your Stocking

One of my favorite family traditions on Christmas Day is the opening of the stockings. We always go for the presents under the tree first and leave the stockings for when everything has quieted down and we can sit and relax. We’ll all grab a cup of coffee or some breakfast casserole that’s cooked over night in the crockpot, ease into the basement family room and dig in to those stocking stuffers. Growing up, our stockings usually contained some of the most meaningful gifts.  Last year we surprised my husband’s step-dad with a day trip to NYC, a place he’d always wanted to visit but never got the chance. There were definitely tears of joy, folks. Yep, that gift was saved for the stocking – personal and meaningful.

You can shop some of my favorite stocking stuffers below. Because we’re getting down to the wire now with Christmas just around the corner. (I did it. I said Christmas. Take that “Holidays”!) Happy Stocking Stuffing!

Love this idea! Too bad I’ve never done a stocking in my life. 🙁

You have too!! The stockings are the best! We sometimes throw in a few gag gifts too. And there are so many pretty ones out there…
