Monday Musings: Give Thanks

in-everything-give-thanksHappy Monday all! Here’s to short work weeks, stuffed bellies and the official start of the Holiday season! To get you in the mood, whether while in the kitchen prepping for the feast or during dinnertime around the table, I’ve created a little Turkey Day playlist for you. Use it to calm the nerves or turn it up nice and loud to drown out the nagging that’s bound to start after you know who has a glass of wine or two! Every family has one! But in all seriousness, have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day and remember to count each and every one of your blessings. Because while there are somedays we might think we’re lacking in the blessings department, there is always, always something to be thankful for each day. I’m very thankful for each and every one of you! 🙂

OK, enough of the mushy stuff.  Grab your coffee and get to reading!

Surviving the Holidays: Sometimes we aren’t the best at decision making when it comes to the Holidays. We’re stressed and sometimes left scrambling at the last minute to get things done. These charts from Buzzfeed can help simplify the crazy (and they are hilarious!)

Keep it Traditional: Martha Stewart Living asked their staff and fans to share a few of their Thanksgiving Family Traditions. Who in your family will be wearing this gem of a hat around the dinner table? I say it’s that one individual that never helps with the dishes!

Back Home Baller: Love Cameron Diaz or not, this SNL sketch had me peeing my pants this morning. How pimp is it at your mom’s house? Just watch it, you’ll love it.

Talkin’ Turkey: Keeping the laughs rolling this morning, a few funny ladies on Kathie Lee and Hoda (love them!) share their advice for surviving the Holidays. Best advice? Sit at the kid’s table!

Check back later this week for your Black Friday shopping guide, you know while you’re sitting on the couch in your fat “I stuffed myself silly” pants. We’ll all be there with you at some point this week, I promise.
