The hubby and I failed sorta miserably on celebrating our Anniversary this year. Back at the beginning of the year, a trip to Paris and French wine country was the plan. Due to forseen work issues (ahem…government…ahem), those plans were squashed. Sadness…
So tonight we are off to the Alamo Draft House for both dinner and a movie. Adult milkshakes, around 50 different beers on draft and yummy food – should be a good time! I’ll let you know how well we like The Counselor. Stellar cast of actors, which can either tank or be fantastic. It’s not getting the best reviews so we shall see! And after six years of constantly talking about it, we are finally going to re-do the downstairs powder room! A trip to secure some paint and lighting fixtures is on tap for Saturday! I cannot wait. I can finally put my Bathroom Re-Vamp Pinterest board to good use!
And as always, the most exciting stuff going on around the web for you to catch up on!
~ America’s Mood Map: Which State matches your personality? This personality test was conducted over 13 years and is based on over one million responses! One of the most credible studies ever, perhaps? I ended up with Oregon, which based on the questions I answered and survey results, seems pretty accurate. One of the most open and accepting states with happy people that are major introverts. Yep, that’s pretty much me in a nutshell!
~ I’ve been stalking h&m for any signs of Holiday home items, and they hit the site yesterday! And as predicted, half of everything I want is already sold out. Hmmmph! I’m in love with these pillow covers and these silver candle sticks. I love the idea of using silver, gold and cream in Christmas decor vs. the your traditional red and green. Here’s to hoping the rest of my list comes back in stock soon!
~ It’s freezing cold in Virginia today, and that makes me oh so happy, happy, happy! When the temps dip, I cannot wait to pull out my coziest, bulkiest, and grandma-iest looking sweaters! I did a huge purge at the beginning of last year and have plans to do the same over the weekend. However it doesn’t help that I came across this sweatshirt, this grandma cardigan, this adorable sweater dress and this sweater with leather accents! If only money grew on trees…
~ Via the DC Ladies Blogtober events this week, I was fortunate enough to meet miss Britni of Play. Party. Pin. Her Halloween Pinterest board is beyond amazing. As we get closer to the 31st, anything and everything you can think of for parties, costumes and decorating you’ll find! Follow her immediately!
Have a lovely weekend!
