One of the great things about fall is being able to wear layers. Layers are functional for fall’s ever changing temps, and worn in the right way, also pull together an outift and make it uniquely yours. My fall uniform is usually a leather jacket or long cardigan, button down or striped shirt, and a big, cozy infinity scarf or a statement necklace. It’s a classic look and never goes out of style.
I know sometimes when you think of layers, one word comes to mind – Bulk! No one wants to end up adding ten pounds to their frame by throwing on multiple items of clothing. There’s a right way and a wrong way to pile on the layers, and these three looks are my personal favorite ways to layer in the fall!
The great thing about all of these items? You can mix and match! Swap the blazer for the leather jacket and wear the plaid shirt over the lace dress as a “jacket”. With just a few of these fall basics, you’ll be a layering pro in no time! Do the chilly temps bring out your love of layers?
