My Style: The Vintage Dress

When is something actually considered vintage? 10 years? More? I’m way behind in blogging, but these photos (even though taken this spring) have me excited for fall! This dress is amazing, with its boho vibe. And it has quite the story with it. Over ten years ago, I was skipping classes and on the bus to the State College mall to pick up something special for a hot date. I always had to have something new back then for every occasion and was an Express whore, seriously. The money I spent in that store during my college years…ouch! While nothing panned out but a free dinner at a fancy schmancy Penn State restaurant (one I had always longed to go to), this dress is my most favorite item in the closet and reminds me always of my college days. Being one of the oldest items I still have around (aside from stacks of high school tee shirts that I just can’t seem to part with), I consider it a vintage beauty and only pull it out for special occasions.  It looks amazing with a pair of boots and a leather jacket or glammed up for an evening out with heels. I might not have fallen in love with a boy, but I think things turned out much better than expected with a dress love affair!

Dress: Express (vintage, oldy but goody), Jacket: Target (similar), Boots: Wet Seal, Hat: H&M (similar)
