Your eyes do not deceive you. It happened! I’m sitting outside in January!
Saturday was pretty great. On the way to enjoy the spring-like day and wine it up, we just weren’t feeling it. I was in the mood for a good, cold beer instead. Yep, I’m a beer lover. IPA, Porter, Stout, Pilsner – I don’t discriminate. I’ve really gotten into the darker beers – Porters and Stouts this winter, but I’ll leave that for another post. I know, some of you are thinking “EWWWW!!! GROSS!! BEER!!” Yep, beer does it for me. Ever since that first sip in one disgusting, sticky floored basement on Frat Row at Penn State. I. Was. Hooked. Don’t judge me too harshly.
We ended up at Corcoran Brewery. And, it was superb! They are doing some neat and different things with beer out there – sour beer, a beer that tasted almost like root beer, ales aged in bourban barrels. Really unique and very tasty. There wasn’t one I didn’t enjoy. I’m excited to go back for their Bacon Porter in a few weeks. Heaven in a glass!
The hubs is getting better with his photography skillllz. We’ll get him there! This area of Loudon County is gorgeous with mountains and farmland. You’d never believe DC was 30 minutes away! I am in love with this Forever 21 sweater. It was so comfy and snuggly, like a cozy blanket. Perfect, relaxed outfit for beer tasting!
Did you get out and enjoy the spring-like weather this weekend?
