Tres Perros (don’t ask how many tries it took to get this pic!)
Merry Christmas, everyone! We’re here in South Dakota after a 36 hour trek, that thanks to Winter Storm Draco, was a bit longer than we would have liked! Things I never want to see again? Paper maps because there is no cell service to be found. Highway patrolman closing Interstates that are too treacherous to travel on. And last but not least, semi trucks jack-knifed and stuck all over the roadways due to ice and snow. I am very thankful my husband has a big ol’ truck and knows how to drive in all weather conditions!
Anyways, I had envisioned all kinds of photo ops once we got out here on the prairie, but it’s 14 degrees outside, and I am still in my PJs! So, please enjoy a throwback to Christmas of last year, our first Christmas spent at home in DC! It was your quintessential DC Christmas with a Christmas Eve visit to the White House tree, drinks before mass at Old Ebbitt Grill and midnight mass at the National Cathedral.
