My Style: Exercise Your Right

Election Day is finally here! And between you and me, I am happy to see this day come and go. The whole political game wears me out – the bipartisan chatter on Facebook that eventually turns nasty, the never-ending commercials on TV, the million and one trees that must have been cut down to supply the constant junk mail. I am not a fan.

However, I am a fan of exercising my right to vote! Before meeting my husband, I can’t say I really cared too much about it all. But, when you marry a Political Science major who was a Congressional Page during his high school years (and you end up living right outside the Nation’s Capital), you don’t have much of a choice. I like being able to hold somewhat of an intelligent conversation with him on the subject of Politics. But, I will never be able to know which Senator or Representative belongs to what state like he does. He knows them all!

I picked up this little Karen Zambos number on Ebay a few years ago. I go in phases with Ebay and was scouring it like mad for deals one summer afternoon. (Right now I am anti-Ebay, having had a terrible experience selling some booties to an awful buyer.) I believe it’s a dress, not a tunic, but at 5’9”, some type of pants are a necessity!

So, get out there and Vote today! And, if you really need a reason to get you out the door and to the polls, sometimes that “I Voted” sticker can get you free stuff!
