One of my favorite things to do at my childhood home is root through old clothes – mine, my mom’s, my sister’s. What I come out with after digging is usually pretty random, doing my best not to make a huge mess. This time, in addition to my old girl scout uniform (which is too big for me now – can you say fat child?!), I came across a velvet dress of my mother’s, more than likely from the 80’s. It’s got the shoulder pads to prove it with a semi-sweetheart neckline. Keep in mind, my mother is 5’2”. I’m 5’9”. Sooo it’s not really a dress for me – more like a short tunic. But, I think it will look great over some leather leggings, doing a mix of the two textures or underneath one of my dressier skirts. Awesome find for this fall/winter!
