Recipes: Cheesy Pork Chops

In need of a super delicious and extremely easy pork chop recipe? These Blue Cheese Pork Chops from Allrecipes make the perfect evening meal. The Hubs isn’t too fond of blue cheese (while the more pungent the cheese the better for me!), so I go light on the blue cheese sauce and mix in a little feta. This recipe is so adaptable, you could really do anything with it.

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons butter

4 thick cut pork chops

1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper, to taste

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1 cup whipping cream

2 ounces blue cheese, crumbled

Directions:

Melt butter in a large skillet, over medium heat. Season the pork chops with black pepper and garlic powder (This time I used Trader Joes 21 Seasoning, which gave the chops a little kick). Fry the chops in butter until no longer pink and the juices run clear, about 20 to 25 minutes. Turn occasionally to brown evenly.

Remove chops to a plate and keep warm. Stir the whipping cream into the skillet, loosening any bits of meat stuck to the bottom. Stir in blue cheese (or your favorite mix of cheeses). Cook, stirring constantly until sauce thickens, about 5 minutes. Pour sauce over warm pork chops.

We added Parm and Basil Orzo and broccoli (in my favorite Anthropologie ramekins) as side dishes. As you can see, I like my chops a bit saaaaucy.

And, we paired the pork with Devils Backbone Eight Point India Pale Ale. The I.P.A has a citrusy aroma and hints of caramel – a delicious compliment to the meal!

What’s your go-to meal for easy prep and full-on flavor?
