Total Wine and More is the mecca for cold brews and vino from around the world. A lesser known fact is they also offer a wide range of monthly events – wine tastings, craft beer hour, wine, beer and liquor educational classes. There’s something for every booze hound to be found!  This past weekend the hubs and I attended the Tour de France where we experienced wine from the most notable areas of France – Champagne, Burgundy, Loire, Bordeaux, Alsace and Provence.

There’s a bit of a French obsession going on right now in our house, ok, mostly with myself, as we begin planning our French Holiday for Fall of 2013!  Half time in Paris and the other half spent touring and wine tasting around the French countryside.  I’ve already created a Pinterest board dedicated to the trip here, dreaming of wearing stripes, a classic trench and visiting the best places to kiss in Paris.  Today I felt a bit of girly lace was in order paired with bright, pink lips. I can’t get enough of the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable line. Perfect amount of color and staying power. Even Sir Brody can’t keep his pup-pup kisses away!

After a few tastings, “Chateauneuf-du-Pape” became my favorite thing to say. Try, it, it’s fun! And quite tasty.

Just a few of our purchases. The big guy in the middle, Chateau Dauzac Margaux 2009, is deep ruby in color and has notes of blackberry and cassis. With an aging potential of 25 years, we picked up the 1.5L to lay down until 2025 and a 375ml to drink now. Highly recommend.
