It’s National Peach month, y’all! My mom came to stay for a week and brought with her some sweet and delicious peaches. When my mom visits, it’s equal to her going on vacation. Sure, we could have eaten the peaches as a healthy snack. But, what fun is being healthy while on vacation? Why not indulge both our sweet tooths (huge, by the way) and whip up some peach cobbler?! This recipe was my first attempt ever at a cobbler. I’m not the most skilled in the kitchen; I leave that to my husband. However, I’m all for a challenge, especially one that allows for the addition of a little booze.
Replace the water with your favorite liquor. I tossed in a little Brandy and Caribbean Rum and some vanilla extract. My mom later made it with peach-flavored Brandy and said it was delicious.
This recipe was to-die-for. It might be the best dessert I’ve ever made. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and it’s the perfect end to a steamy, summer day.
